Police are warning Hutt Valley drug dealers to expect a knock on the door as a crackdown on organised drug crime in the area continues.
Five people were arrested yesterday after police executed three search warrants in Lower Hutt and two in Upper Hutt.
Detective Senior Sergeant Scott Cooper saidthey recovered more than 80 cannabis plants, 75 seedlings and dried cannabis at one Lower Hutt address.
He put other drug dealers in area on notice.
"The search warrants executed yesterday are part of an ongoing crackdown by police in the Hutt Valley to target organised crime and drug activity, and drug dealers not yet caught should expect a knock on the door from us soon.''
Three Lower Hutt men aged 22, 39 and 65 have been jointly charged with cultivation of cannabis.
A 42-year old Upper Hutt woman has been charged with possession of cannabis for supply, and a 24-year-old Upper Hutt man will face charges including possession of cannabis and utensils.
