An American jet has accidentally dropped a bomb on a warehouse near a Virginia air base.
The US Navy told AP that a small, inert training bomb fell on the building in the resort city of Virginia Beach.
There was minimal damage, the Navy said.
It hasconfirmed to the agency that the Navy will investigate how the FA-18C Hornet, which was heading for Virginia's Oceana Naval Air Station from a North Carolina bombing range, managed to drop the device.
