The US Navy is investigating whether two Navy Seals murdered a Green Beret in Mali.
The New York Times reports that Staff Sergeant Logan Melgar, 34, was strangled to death in embassy housing he shared with other Special Operations forces in Bamako on June 4.
Suspecting foul play, the US
Army sent investigators to the scene, the New York Times reported.
Two Seals were removed from the location and placed on administrative leave, according to the newspaper.
The Seals belong to the Navy's elite Seal Team 6, which killed Osama bin Laden in a Pakistan raid in 2011.
