Segal continued to implore Joseph to relay the information to police before he eventually promised he would that day.
Frederick Police subsequently announced they had interviewed the man about his claims and were able to pinpoint the location of the body.
It was unearthed in the woods near South East Street yesterday, according to an update shared to Facebook.
Police confirmed the remains were in an “advanced” state of decomposition and have not yet been able to identify the dead man.
They have urged the community to resist speculating about the body and rely on the confirmed information being released by the authorities to the public.
The death is not currently being treated as suspicious.
