US fighters collide in mid-air

WASHINGTON - A pair of US F-15C fighter planes on a training mission have collided in mid-air over the Gulf of Mexico, according to AFP reports.
The two jets were about 80km from Elgin Air Force Base in Florida, the agency said, quoting Air Force sources.
While
the Air Force didn't have any information on the pilots, recovery operations were underway.
