Alleged underworld kingpin Carl Williams faced the Melbourne Magistrate's Court via video link from prison yesterday, charged with a fourth gangland murder.
The latest charge, the murder of drug dealer Mark Moran in June 2000, was laid on Monday by detectives from the anti-gangland taskforce Purana.
Williams used the court hearing to take a swipe at the taskforce.
"I'd like it to be known that the Purana taskforce is not only corrupt, but incompetent," he said.
Magistrate Paul Grant remanded Williams to appear at a further hearing on April 27.
Williams, 35, now faces charges over four of Melbourne's 27 gangland murders since 1997.
