Two die at US amusement parks

A man fell to his death yesterday after standing up on an attraction at a Six Flags amusement park, in the United States.

Officials at Six Flags Elitch Gardens in Denver said the man was part of a group of "mentally challenged individuals". They said witnesses reported that the 28-year-old undid his seatbelt and worked his way out of the lap-bar restraint.

The death came one day after a 58-year-old worker at Six Flags Over Georgia was killed when he wandered into the path of an 80km/h rollercoaster and was struck in the head by a passenger's dangling legs.
