Police charged school cleaner Vincent Stanford, 24, with her murder on Thursday after reportedly discovering blood at the rear of his ute and pictures of a burned body on his camera.
Yesterday her fiance visited a makeshift memorial to Scott and her sister invited people to attend a memorial picnic lunch.
Scott's sister shared a heartbreaking post on social media - a poem she wrote for the wedding. It came as brides across the country honoured the young woman by sharing bridal photos with the hashtag #putyourdressout, and the Leeton community mourned Scott by wearing yellow and holding balloons.
Businesses tied ribbons and balloons to their shopfronts and collected donations for the family.
It is understood the accused's mother and brother helped police with their investigation.
Earlier, two truck drivers told police they saw a man speed off in a white ute on Sunday after throwing a bag into an irrigation channel. Sydney police divers later recovered a red laptop.
School keys given to Scott before her death were allegedly found at Stanford's home. He allegedly gave misleading information about being at the school on Sunday, the Daily Telegraph reported.
