“We are working to fully support the relevant authorities as they take the lead in co-ordinating the emergency response.
“We are also supporting the team members and their families.
“All questions should be directed to the authorities at this time.”
The Temora Flyers also mourned the late pilot.
“It is with great sadness that Temora Flyers Inc acknowledges the tragic loss of a pilot involved in an aircraft accident earlier today,” they said in a Facebook post.
“Many in our community will be familiar with the Freedom Formation team, whose dedication, professionalism and passion for aviation have inspired so many – especially our youth. Today’s loss is deeply felt across the aviation community and by all who have witnessed their commitment first-hand.
“The pilot who passed was a highly respected member of the formation team and a strong supporter of youth in aviation. Their contribution to inspiring young people and promoting safe, professional flying will not be forgotten.
“Temora Flyers Inc extends our heartfelt condolences to the pilot’s family, friends, and all who are grieving during this difficult time.
“Blue skies and tailwinds.”
Locals have been urged to avoid the area.
The Australian Transport Safety Bureau will conduct an investigation, and anyone with information has been urged to come forward.
