Two toddlers are in a critical condition after they were pulled from a backyard swimming pool in southwest Sydney this afternoon.
Emergency services rushed to the home on Lakewood Cr, Casula, just before 3pm today after they received reports that two children had been found unresponsive.
Paramedics treated the 18-month-old girl and 23-month-old boy at the scene before they were taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead.
Both are in a critical condition.
NSW Police said officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command had established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
