'These people are crazy': Shocking moment woman smokes 'meth pipe' while driving

A female driver in Perth has been photographed smoking from what appears to be a glass pipe while behind the wheel.

Witnesses say the driver was swerving all over the road while allegedly lighting the glass pipe with a green lighter.

One witness said he was so shocked at what was unfolding that he asked his wife to take a photograph of her and her number plate.

The photo is now being used by police to track down the driver.

The dangerous stunt has infuriated local premier Mark McGowan, who said he was dumbfound by the act.

"One of the most insane things I've ever seen," he told Seven News.

"Stupid crazy stuff. I look forward to police tracking her down and charging her."

Shadow police minister Peter Katsambanis said users of the drug are "crazy".

"They need to stop this sort of behaviour," he said.

Australians took to social media to slam the woman with many saying the problem is increasing each day.

"God only knows what some folks have been on before getting behind the wheel and scaring the do doos out of me some mornings," one person said.

Another wrote: "Unfortunately this is everywhere. People just don't see it all the time. More police should be out, especially on freeways."

The horrifying moment comes just a month after an Australian truck driver filmed himself snorting white powder with a $10 note and smoking from a glass pipe while on duty.

In the clip, the man - wearing a shirt bearing the logo of a Victorian company, Doncarm Transport - is seen telling the camera "this is going to be a big day" and saying "f**k me this hasn't been done for a very long time".

Two lines of white powder were placed on a tray, with the truck driver telling the camera "Breakfast for two right here. Now this is gonna hurt like a motherf**ker".

The driver then rolls up a $10 note before sending a message for his mother, saying: "Mum if you're watching this I suggest you f**king change the channel... That burns... my eyes are watering... what a moment."

He then is seen snorting one of the lines, groaning loudly and saying that it hurt before proceeding to light a glass pipe and inhaling the unknown substance.

A representative for Doncarm Transport told the ABC the driver left the company three months ago and is unsure when the video was taken.
