Save A man accused of attacking a pedestrian with an axe in Sydney's southwest has been refused bail.
Ali Khater, 44, is alleged to have left a car in Lurnea at lunchtime on Saturday and struck a man a number of times as he was walking down the street.
Police say
Khater then returned to the car and drove away.
Victim Jason Potter, believed to be in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious head and leg injuries.
Khater was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and was refused bail at Parramatta Bail Court on Sunday.
