Sydney burglar's sticky end

A Sydney burglar has been rescued by police and fire crews after becoming stuck on the roof of a Sydney factory.

Police were called to a three-storey factory in Leichhardt about 1.50am to find the 53-year-old on the roof.

Officers believe he was trying to break in but wet weather and the steep roof caused him to get stuck.

He was finally retrieved at 4.50am and arrested after several rescue attempts.
