Breathtaking images have emerged of a storm that rolled towards Sydney this afternoon.

According to the Daily Telegraph, a warning for severe thunderstorms that could lead to flash flooding and damaging winds was issued.

The weather is expected to continue into the evening but is set to improve tomorrow.
