DARWIN - Police in the Northern Territory have discovered a second body in the burnt out ruins of a house west of Darwin.
The remains were found in the same Dundee Beach demountable home that the body of a woman, who had been shot with a crossbow, was found on
Saturday.
Police were called to the area early on Saturday after members of the public raised the alarm.
Police say it will be some time before the identity of the second person can be confirmed.
A manhunt is under way for Lindsay Edward Dean, 49, who the ABC reported is the estranged partner of the woman found dead on Saturday.
A search of dense bushland surrounding the property is said to be under way.
Police have warned anyone who sees Mr Dean not to approach him, but rather telephone 131 444 to alert authorities.
Members from the Tactical Response Group, Major Crime and Palmerston Police are investigating and are treating the fire and deaths as suspicious.
