A man has been caught on video being knocked out by a leaping bull at a Peruvian festival.
The bull was seen racing through the streets with others as part of the San Jose fair’s “Running of the Bulls”, similar to the event held in Pamplona, Spain.
Festival attendeeswere mostly able to avoid the stampede, but one bull leapt up and collided with the head of a man.
Peruvian broadcaster Latina Noticias reported the man, Cesar del Rio Ganoza, was knocked out in the collision.
In the video shared on social media, several people ran into the street to aid Ganoza, believed to be in his 50s, and he appeared to escape without serious injury.
Ganoza later shared a photo of himself with bandages across his face and nose as he recovered in a hospital.

Local media reported a 25-year-old man was also left injured after being struck by a bull at the same festival and needed 20 stitches in his arm.
The festival in northern Peru has bulls released along a main avenue while attendees can run in front of the animals, but many spectators stay behind fences.
A teenager in Toledo, Spain, was reportedly gored and tossed by a rampaging bull while taking part in a similar festival in September.

A video of the incident showed spectators scattering as the bull forced a weak spot in the fence and headed up a grassy knoll.
Rodeo staff managed to usher Thunder away from the crowd to a fenced-off paddock, with Far North Rodeo Club president Quinton King saying the bull was only out for a few minutes.
