Rape cover-up claim

A girl who alleged she was gang-raped on an overseas school study trip was pressured by teachers into telling her father the sex was consensual, a New South Wales court heard.

The 18-year old, who can only be identified as "N", is suing Sydney's Tara Anglican School for Girls for breaching its duty of care over the incident in Italy in 2001.

She said she was sent home from the trip early, and a teacher presented her with a bill for the morning-after pill and the cab fare to the airport.
