The Prince and Princess of Wales have released a new family photo to mark 15 years of marriage.
The portrait shows Prince William and Princess Catherine lying on the grass alongside their three children – Prince George, 12, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 8 – and the family dog.
The image was posted to social media with a heart emoji and the caption “Celebrating 15 years of marriage”.
The pair were wed at Westminster Abbey in London in April 2011, in a televised ceremony watched by an estimated global audience of billions, according to the BBC.
At the time, the Herald’s editorial said the event didn’t have much of the “excessive lavishness” of previous royal weddings, reflecting the couple’s “demeanour, taste and aspirations”, but also their awareness of the economic climate.

The Prince and Princess met at the University of St Andrews, according to the BBC, and spent their first three years of married life in Anglesey, where Prince William trained to be a search and rescue pilot with the Royal Air Force.
“I loved my time up here. It was great fun … I do miss it. I miss the job, I miss the camaraderie,” Prince William told trainees at the station on Tuesday, the BBC reported.
“Your time up here will go quickly, that’s the thing. You’ll look back with fond memories,” he said.
William is next in line to the throne, meaning that George, Charlotte and Louis are second, third and fourth in line, according to the royal family’s website.
