Postman's delivery finds wrong target

A man from Manchester, UK, was surprised this week - and presumably not entirely thrilled - after discovering his postman had delivered a parcel to him through his bathroom window, after which it landed in his toilet.

Sam Cooke, 22, a sports journalist, arrived home on Thursday to find two notification cards from the Royal Mail on his doorstep.

One had a message telling him the parcel had been put through an open window.

The second said: "I'm really sorry I think your parcel might have fallen down the toilet ... Accidently (sic)"

Sam shared pictures of the cards - and the parcel - on Twitter, where his tweet went viral.

The Royal Mail contacted Sam on Twitter asking what they could do to make amends.

Sam replied saying: "There's honestly nothing to apologise for, the parcel is absolutely fine, gave me and thousands of others a good laugh that's all."

He later told his followers: "I have been contacted by a member of the Royal Mail team at my local office, the postie is going to knock on my door and apologise.

"I look forward to meeting him and I will assure him he has nothing to be sorry about, no harm done! Keep up the great work @RoyalMail"
