Pauline Hanson quits politics for good

Right-wing firebrand Pauline Hanson, who once declared that Australia was being swamped by Asians, is bowing out of politics for good.

The former fish'n'chip shop owner whose political career took her from Federal Parliament to jail, told The Australian she was bitter about Australian apathy toward politics.

"I'm finished, it's over," she said, adding that she had no plans to stand in elections in Queensland.
