An Australian OnlyFans model who stole a bikini in Bali says she has been targeted with death threats in Indonesia after she confessed about the crime on social media.
The owner of Muse, a boutique in southwest Bali, caught the theft on CCTV and posted it on social media, attemptingto track down the culprit, reported the Daily Mail.
Gemma Doyle, 26, from New South Wales then admitted it was her on social media.
“I am aware of the stories going around and it’s true, I was on one and I was being a bit silly and I stole a swimsuit,” Doyle said on an Instagram story, according to the Daily Mail.
“But that’s all I did. I’m just a human being guys, and I have never stolen anything in my life but anyway I did that, it costs like $30 and I did it just for the fun of it.”
Petty theft is punishable by up to three months in prison according to the Indonesian law.
Doyle made the post after she was identified and people started to tag her social media account, with one woman calling her fat. Doyle then confessed and followed that with a reply on her Instagram story.
“But anyway, yes I know I’m fat, that’s what the lady said in her stories, but here’s my response.”
Doyle was then shown on camera jumping into a pool shouting: “F*** you!”
After this post Doyle said she was hit with a flood of abuse and even death threats.
The Daily Mail said a conversation between Doyle and the shop owner was posted online, where the owner asked the OnlyFans model to pay for the bikini or they would report her to immigration if she refused.

The following day she appeared more apologetic.
“I really wanted to apologise. I was joking, but I actually wanted to apologise for taking what I took,” Doyle said on social media.
“The owner is coming to meet me now and I’m going to pay her double of what was taken and also give the items back,” she said.
“But for everyone sending threats, insults, posting stories of me, that’s okay. I get it. I did the wrong thing.”
However, according to Doyle the situation took a strange turn when she met with the shop owner.
Despite an offer to pay twice the cost of the bikini, Doyle claimed the shop owner asked for $1800 compensation, which she refused to pay.
“I have returned the item to the owner. I made a mistake. Bully me sure, but death threats over a pair of swimmers? We have all made mistakes. I’ve been honest and taken accountability.”
