On its website, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (Mfat) said that New Zealanders in Britain should take account of the terror level threat when making travel decisions.
It said British authorities had put enhanced security measures in place, but advised New Zealanders to be careful.
"There is some risk to your security and New Zealanders are advised to maintain a high level of personal security at all times and to be extra vigilant when travelling on any public transport in the United Kingdom," it said.
Mfat also recommended New Zealanders in Britain monitor the media for information about possible new threats.
