The death toll from Sydney's fatal nursing home fire has risen to eight, with the death of a 96-year-old woman.
Police said the woman, who was admitted to Blacktown Hospital Intensive Care Unit on Friday, died overnight from health complications from the fire.
Her death brings the number of fatalities to eight.
The seventh victim, 82-year-old Ceasar Galea, died at Hawkesbury Hospital at 8.20am (AEDT) on Monday.
Three residents, including 73-year-old Alma Smith, died at the scene of the fire, which tore through the facility on Hambledon Road, Quakers Hill, early on Friday morning.
On Friday afternoon Lola Bennett, 86, died at Royal North Shore Hospital, while on Saturday morning Ella Wood, 97, died at Concord Repatriation General Hospital.
Urbana Alipio, 79, died at 9.30am (AEDT) on Sunday in Liverpool Hospital.
Investigations are continuing.
A registered nurse working at the facility, 35-year-old Roger Dean, is alleged to have started the fire.
