Stone the crows, where else would someone get charged for drunk driving a chilly bin?
James Wallace, 21, drove the motorised Esky on Australia Day in New South Wales.
Wallace was travelling around 20km/h in a 50km/h zone but blew a blood alcohol reading of 0.162 - almost three times the legal limit, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Staff at Camden Hotel took joy rides and posted a video on social media which attracted almost 50,000 views.
However Australia Day revellers watching on from nearby pubs became devo fans when things got hectic and Wallace was stopped by highway patrol officers near a pedestrian crossing.
Police decided the Esky met the classification for a motor vehicle and slapped him with the drink driving charge.
Wallace will appear in court on February 28 and will also face charges of driving and using and unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
