Mubarak back in charge

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak returned home yesterday three weeks after having gall bladder surgery in Germany.

He had temporarily handed over power to his Prime Minister, fuelling speculation about the country's leadership.

State television broadcast live footage of Mubarak and his wife arriving at the airport in the Red Sea resort of Sharm el-Sheik.
