Modern Chinese more relaxed about sex

Chinese are more relaxed about infidelity, premarital sex and divorce, "acts that have been frowned on for thousands of years", says Xinhua news agency.

A third of the more than 1000 people aged 23 to 26 polled accepted sexual practices that were taboo until recently.

"Thirty-three per cent said they could tolerate extramarital affairs, and 34.8 per cent said premarital sex was good for marital life," Xinhua said.
