Melbourne influencer throws party with ‘cheaters don’t get cake’ dessert on cancelled wedding day

A Melbourne influencer and make-up artist turned a sad situation into a celebration over the weekend, throwing a party on her would-be wedding day.

Adelle Petropoulos shared photos of a girls’ night out on Sunday, captioned: “Cancelled the wedding, kept the party. Thank god for my girls.”

Petropoulos was filmed and photographed with a cake which had “Cheaters don’t get cake” iced on it.

In the post, the influencer was seen eating the dessert while laughing and having fun with friends.

In September, she told fans that she and her fiancé had parted ways in a TikTok video.

“What I didn’t have on my bingo card for this year was cancelling my f****** wedding,” she said.

“Something has happened ... that didn’t align with my principles [or] values as a human being that has made a lifelong commitment to someone. And I have decided to walk away,” she continued.

“I didn’t care that I was four months out from my wedding, I didn’t care that I was in another country ... there is no part of me that will disrespect myself more by staying in a relationship that doesn’t align with my principles and values.”

Leaving the relationship had been the hardest thing she had ever had to do in her life, she said while fighting tears.

Despite not saying outright what her ex-partner did in the video, her party cake made it clear to fans.

Petropoulos provided updates on her breakup in other videos, as she mentioned that her ex moved out of their home.

Fans and friends showed Petropoulos their support in the comments of Sunday’s party post.

“Legend. Celebrate his loss, and your new life path,” one said.

“You always have your girls,” added another.
