"Sometimes he listens and sometimes he doesn't. But I have my own voice and my opinions and it's very important for me that I express what I feel."
Mrs Trump was in Cairo as part of a four-country tour of Africa, arriving in Egypt after visiting Kenya. Before hitting the pyramids, she met with Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi and his wife, Entissar Mohameed Amer.
For the past several years the US Agency for International Development has worked with the Egyptian government on a project to prevent additional damage to the landmarks.

Mrs Trump described her tour as "amazing" and she said she hoped the talk would focus on her visit, rather than her fashion choices.
"That's very important what I do, what we're doing with U.S. aid and what I do with my initiatives and I wish people would focus on what I do, not what I wear," she said.

Although, one outfit Mrs Trump wore on her tour sparked controversy.
While in Kenya, the First Lady wore a safari outfit, with a white pith helmet. Some question the choice, saying the helmet symbolised Kenya's colonial past and the control Britian once had in Kenya.
Throughout her trip, Mrs Trump has seemed genuinely friendly to journalists, apparently waving at them while boarding a US government aircraft, reports saying her demeanour seemed happier, even speaking the media about her thoughts on the Kavanaugh Supreme Court decision.
