A McDonald's employee was arrested last week, after giving birth inside a bathroom and then trying to flush the newborn baby down the toilet.
Sarah Lockner, 25, was working an evening shift at a Redwood City, California McDonald's on September 4, when she started complaining of stomach pains, according tothe Daily Journal.
Her boss told her she could leave early, so she clocked out around 10pm, but didn't leave. Instead, she went into the bathroom and staff soon grew concerned.
Two female employees went to check on Lockner and found her inside a stall, surrounded by a pool of blood.
One of the employees looked over the top of the stall and witnessed Lockner give birth to a baby, the MailOnline reported.
The baby boy was taken to the hospital where it was put into a coma. The boy has since been taken out of a coma and is recovering, though it's unclear if he sustained brain damage.
Meanwhile, Lockner was arrested on charges of attempted murder and child abuse.
She allegedly told police that she had no idea she was pregnant, and neither did her boyfriend.
She is currently being held on $11million bail. If convicted, she could face a life sentence.
Child Protective Services are currently trying to determine if there's a family member to release the baby to once he is healthy enough.
