A young Melbourne man has described his horrific injuries after being attacked by a group of thugs in a carjacking last month.
Pesa Mosafa, 21, was set upon by 20 people, stabbed six times, beaten and kicked during the violent attack at Cranbourne, in the city's southeast.
Mosafa was standingnext to his car, eating at the intersection of Stawell St and Cranbourne Dr when the ambush took place at 1.30am on January 7.
He says he is lucky to be alive.
"I am so lucky to be standing here," he told Seven News. "I just wanted to survive."

One of the attackers was caught on CCTV stabbing Mosafa in the back before he stumbled the 400m home and raised the alarm.
Mosafa was stabbed six times in the attack.
Police are now on the search for his Mercedez-Benz, which hasn't been seen since the night of the attack.
An 18-year-old Frankston man, an 18-year-old Hampton Park man and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested and charged with a range of offences over the incident.
