'Kindergarten killer' sentenced to death

Beijing's notorious "kindergarten killer" has been sentenced to death for murdering a teacher, a student and three others in a years-long crime spree, say state media.

The killings were among a rash of unrelated attacks on schools in China last year, which prompted President Hu Jintao to order schools to hire guards and tighten security.

Fu Hegong, 31, was convicted of murder, stealing, rape and molestation.
