A woman was killed in Tajikistan when her ex-boyfriend threw a live grenade in her bag

The blast happened near the Emergency Situations Ministry, the site of two bomb attacks this year.

Officials said the 25-year-old victim's former boyfriend threw the grenade as they were walking together down the street.

He said the man, who was lightly injured in the blast, had confessed.
