Disgraced peer Lord Jeffrey Archer is to keep his title, thanks to the British Government's decision not to press ahead with plans to reform the House of Lords.
Measures to strip peers convicted of a serious offence of their membership of the Upper House and their titles were to be includedin the House of Lords Reform Bill, which the Government hoped to push through Parliament this session.
But the bill, which also would have removed the final 92 hereditaries from the second chamber, was dropped this month.
