Is that you, Migaloo? A white whale has been spotted just north of the Gold Coast Seaway, but the jury's still out on whether it's the famous, albino humpback.
Experts have examined photos of the whale but still aren't convinced it's Migaloo making his annual migration from Antarctica to warmer
waters.
White Whale Research Centre founder Oskar Peterson said the whale could be another male humpback.
"At this stage I'm leaning towards it not being Migaloo," Mr Peterson told AAP.
"The photos are coming in and he's all shiny white and he's looking a bit smaller," Mr Peterson told AAP.
