Australian ultra-marathon legend Cliff Young, who has died aged 81, rose to fame by winning the inaugural Sydney to Melbourne ultra-marathon in 1983 at the age of 61.
The former potato farmer, instantly recognisable by his distinct shuffling running style, ran more than 20,000km in his competitive ultra-marathon career.
