Insects kept man alive

A gold prospector lost in the Australian Outback for four days survived by eating termites and other insects, police said.

Theo Rosmolder, 52, from Victoria, was suffering from dehydration but otherwise in "surprisingly good condition" after being spotted by local Aborigines on Tuesday about 10km from his camp, Western Australia state police Sergeant Graham Clifford said.

The prospector, who once worked as a pest exterminator, "kept eating what he used to kill."
