Influencer Klaudiaglam dies six days after being hit by car in London’s Soho

Klaudia Zakrzewska, known online as Klaudiaglam, died six days after being struck by a car allegedly being driven by a social media rival in London.

An Instagram influencer has died after being hit in central London by a car allegedly driven by a rival social media star.

Klaudia Zakrzewska, 32, known as Klaudiaglam on Instagram and TikTok, died six days after the incident in central London on April 19.

Gabrielle Carrington, 29, known as RIELLEUK on social media, had been charged with attempted murder over the incident outside the London Palladium. The charge will now be upgraded to murder, a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said.

A court heard earlier this week that Carrington, a former X Factor contestant, was understood to be in an “ongoing dispute” with Zakrzewska.

Zakrzewska, from Essex, was among three people hit by a car after she was believed to have attended Inca, a bar and restaurant near the Palladium.

Carrington, of Manchester, is also charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent to harm Anoush Chyche, actual bodily harm to Latisha Armstrong and drink-driving.

Carrington appeared at Westminster magistrates’ court last Tuesday local time, where district court Judge Nina Tempia remanded her in custody.

Carrington reached 10th place in X Factor as part of girl group Miss Dynamix in 2013 and has amassed more than 360,000 followers on Instagram and more than 400,000 likes on TikTok.

She did not enter any pleas during the court hearing and is next due to appear at the Old Bailey on May 19.

Detective Chief Inspector Alison Foxwell, who is leading the investigation, said her “deepest sympathies” were with Zakrzewska’s family.

Foxwell said: “We recognise that this case has generated significant interest and discussion on social media. However, we would urge the public to refrain from further speculation.

“We also ask that people do not share graphic footage out of respect for Klaudia’s loved ones and for those who have been injured. The circulation of such material could also undermine our ongoing criminal investigation and potentially prejudice future court proceedings.”
