Australia: Three dead, one girl missing in Sydney ferry crash
A HarbourCat ferry hit a 10-metre private boat in the Sydney Harbour early this morning, killing three and injuring eight.
A 14-year-old girl remains missing. "I'm determined to get to the bottom of the cause of thisand to ensure that it can never happen again, it's just too horrible," Sydney Ferries boss Rear Admiral Geoff Smith said.
Police say it is to early to say what caused the collision.
Iranian television showed off some of 15 British sailors and marines detained at sea last week.
An official Iranian news agency said some of the other sailors had also admitted to entering Iranian waters and expressed regret, wheras Britain has GPS proof they hadn't.
Britain now seeks support from the United Nations and wants Security Council members to endorse a statement that would "deplore" Iran's actions.
Japan: Manhunt after woman's body found in sand bath
Tokyo police have launched a nationwide manhunt after a 22-year-old British teacher was found dead in a bath full of sand in an east Tokyo apartment.
The distraught father of murdered Lindsay Ann Hawker arrived in Japan to identity the body of his daughter.
The main suspect, 28-year-old Tatsuya Ichihashi, fled the apartment while it was being searched, reportedly leaving behind the victim's handbag, clothing and other belongings.
