Changespotting: Geese hit by global warming

Seals: out, goose eggs: in. The polar bears are adapting their dining habits as a consequence of global warming and have turned to goose eggs to tide them over when hunting season is poor. Initial fears that this could compromise the survival of snow geese as a species have abated.

A European advertising company has had some fun creating these rather unique concept designs for motorcycle helmets. From balding heads to watermelons they'll certainly make you stand out on the road. What we need next is for someone to make them for those of us on bicycles!

You might not have even known that the blue jeans production process was such a water guzzler, but if you did you'll relish the news that Levi's has launched a new line of WaterLess jeans. The production process is not quite waterless, but apparently uses up to 96 per cent less water for some of your favourite fashion staples.

In a similar vein to people blindly driving their cars into rivers as they follow their GPS, Nicaragua has accidentally invaded Costa Rica. The Nicaraguan military commander was apparently using Google Maps as his guide and he and his troops set up camp in Costa Rica thinking they were still in their own territory.
