Hungary bans paprika until further notice

The Government banned the sale of paprika - Hungary's signature spice - and called on citizens not to use any they have at home after a toxin was found in products distributed by three Hungarian companies.

Health Minister Jeno Racz said the ban would remain in place until tests could ascertain how much paprika was affected by the aflatoxin, which is produced by mold.
