A fourth man has been arrested and charged over the alleged kidnapping and murder of Australian pensioner Chris Baghsarian.
Baghsarian, 85, was taken from his home in the Sydney suburb of North Ryde early in the morning on February 13, in what early inquiries suggested was a case of mistakenidentity.
Over the course of the search for Baghsarian, NSW Police pleaded with those believed to have been holding him hostage to release him.
Baghsarian’s remains were located at 8am on February 24 near a golf club in Pitt Town.
On April 21, detectives attached to Strike Force Chabot arrested a 19-year-old man at Mt Druitt Police Station.
The man was charged with murder and kidnapping with intent to ransom or occasion bodily harm.
He was refused bail, and will appear in Mt Druitt Local Court this week.
