Fourteen years for bin Laden cook

Osama bin Laden's former cook and driver, who had admitted conspiracy and providing support for terrorism, has been sentenced to 14 years in prison by a Guantanamo Bay tribunal.

However, Sudanese-born Ibrahim al-Qosi, 50, could serve less time because of a plea deal, the details of which are unlikely to be known for several weeks.

Qosi, who was detained in Afghanistan in 2001, also said he worked as bin Laden's bodyguard and helped him avoid capture by United States forces. The Pentagon will now review the sentence.
