Four men have been charged after an investigation into an alleged Sydney-based international “Satanic child sex abuse material ring”.
As part of an investigation into the online distribution of child sexual abuse material involving ritualistic or Satanic themes, Strike Force Constantine detectives allegedly uncovered a Sydney-based paedophile network.
The networkis alleged to possess, distribute and facilitate the material through a website administered internationally.
With assistance from the Central Metropolitan Region Operational Support Group and the Public Order and Riot Squad, six search warrants were executed in Waterloo, Ultimo and Malabar on November 27.
At the Waterloo address, police arrested a 26-year-old man, who police allege played a leading role in the group.
Footage showed armed officers storming the Waterloo address and escorting the man, dressed in a matching black and white striped shirt and shorts with a blue beanie pulled over his eyes, out of the Waterloo property.
He was taken to Mascot police station, where he was charged with seven counts of use carriage service make available child abuse, use carriage etc to access child abuse material, three counts of possess etc child abuse data-use carriage service, two counts of person disseminates bestiality material and person possesses bestiality material.
He was refused bail and appeared in Bail Division Local Court 7 on Friday, November 28.
Three other men, aged 46, 42 and 39, were arrested at a unit block in Malabar.

The 42-year-old man was charged with possess child abuse data-use carriage service, use carriage to access child abuse material and possess child abuse material.
The 49-year-old was charged with use carriage service make available child abuse, two counts of contravene prohibition order, two counts of fail to comply with reporting obligations and possess prohibited drug.
Police charged the 39-year-old with possess child abuse material, person possesses bestiality material, use carriage etc to access child abuse material, five counts of fail to comply with reporting obligations and two counts of possess prohibited drug.
The three men were denied bail and appeared at Bail Division Local Court 6 on Friday, November 28.
