Fisherman almost impaled by a marlin

Footage shows the moment a fisherman is almost hit by the sword of a marlin as it thrashes on to the boat.

Posted on Facebook, the user wrote "pretty much as close as it gets."

The group were out on "The Pump" fishing vessel off Port Stephens when the marlin came flying on board and almost skewered one of the men.
