"I was very surprised in an advanced country like Australia, they are still not allowing us to wear patka in the school."
Despite being allowed to enroll at the start of the year, Melton Christian College's uniform policy does not accept his head covering.
Principal David Gleeson revealed that a number of Sikh students attend the school but none are given special exceptions.
"I think one of the real strengths of the college is that we're blind to ... everyone is blind to religious affiliations," he said.
"Anything additional to the uniform isn't allowed."
Mr Singh Arora's son has enrolled at another school but he is hopeful the Christian school, where his son's cousins all attend, will change its mind.
The court hearing will continue on Wednesday.
