Evacuation centres set up as floods strike Fiji

Heavy rains over the past two days have caused serious flooding in Fiji.

Residents in western towns on Viti Levu have been told to move to higher ground as flood waters enter their homes.

Evacuation centres have been opened in Lautoka and Tavua to accommodate people whose homes are under water as well as those who have been stranded by the rising water levels.
