Donald Trump jnr is engaged to Bettina Anderson, a Palm Beach socialite, capping a whirlwind romance that has attracted the attention of Florida’s glitterati and the Washington political bubble.
The engagement was revealed by the United States President during a Christmas reception on Monday evening, with the President’s eldest son,47, taking the microphone to share his joy.
“I want to thank Bettina for that one word: Yes!” he quipped.
Anderson, 38, dressed in a red strapless gown, thanked the US President and the First Lady for hosting the event.
“This has really been the most unforgettable weekend of my life, and I get to marry the love of my life,” she said.
Their relationship, which began last year, has become a public spectacle in Palm Beach.
The pair was photographed last September sharing an intimate dinner, and were later seen together at high-profile events from the Super Bowl in New Orleans to Trump’s congressional address in March 2025.

Donald jnr was previously engaged to Kimberly Guilfoyle, a Fox News host who is now the president’s ambassador to Greece.
Their relationship is thought to have ended “amicably” last year, although the couple never made a formal announcement.
Anderson comes from a long-standing Palm Beach banking dynasty. Harry Loy Anderson jnr, her father, helmed Worth Avenue National Bank before expanding into other institutions, while her mother Inger was a model in New York during the 1980s.
Anderson grew up alongside her twin sister Kristina and four other siblings on a multimillion-dollar estate. They were educated at some of the country’s most exclusive private schools, including the US$35,000-a-year ($60,500) Palm Beach Day School and US$76,000-a-year ($131,000) St Andrew’s School in Boca Raton.
A Columbia University graduate with a degree in art history, criticism and conservation, Anderson has carved out a career as a model and social media influencer. She has graced the cover of Society magazine, Quest, featured in Hamilton Jewellers campaigns, and was profiled by Palm Beach Illustrated as a “local influencer”.
“I’m just your typical stay at home mom… only I don’t do household chores… or have a husband… or have kids,” her Instagram profile reads. A photo of her pushing a pram full of shopping also features on the page.
However, she will now be a stepmother to Trump’s five children, who are aged between 11 and 18.
Outside her professional life, Anderson has said she enjoys boxing, swimming, spearfishing in the Bahamas, walking the Palm Beach Lake Trail and scuba-diving as a licensed rebreather tech diver.
Her lifestyle, which is a mix of old-money connections, glamour and leisure, has made her a prominent figure in Palm Beach society, and now a headline in Washington as the next Trump bride.
The couple’s engagement was not the only romantic announcement to come out of Washington on Monday.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, a former Trump cheerleader turned chief critic, revealed she was to marry Brian Glenn, a political journalist.
Glenn posted a picture of the couple at the Washington surf and turf institution, Joe’s Seafood, on Monday evening with the caption: “She said yes”.
