“Of course, I can’t be dizzy carrying around banjos, guitars and such, on five-inch heels, and you know that I’m going to be wearing them. Not to mention all those heavy rhinestone outfits, the big hair, my big personality,” she said.
Parton said her doctors were focused on strengthening her immune and digestive systems.
“They assure me that everything I have is treatable,” she said.
In a social media post last October, Parton admitted she did not take care of herself after her husband of nearly 60 years, Carl Dean, died at the age of 82 on March 3 last year.
“I let a lot of things go that I should have been taking care of,” she said. “So anyway, when I got around to it, the doctors said ‘we need to take care of this’ and ‘we need to take care of that’. Nothing major, but I did have to cancel some things.”
Parton said she needed to be closer to home because she was having “a few treatments here and there”.
Parton said she wanted to “put everybody’s mind at ease” and let fans know she’s okay.
“I know lately everybody thinks that I’m sicker than I am. Do I look sick to you? I’m working hard here,” the country singer said in a video captioned “I ain’t dead yet!”
