Did Ivanka Trump say she wanted to mace dad Donald after he complimented her figure?

Ivanka Trump has always either remained silent or laughed off her father Donald's comments about her physical appearance.

But a surprisingly forceful quote has emerged attributed to her from an interview in 2006 where she is alleged to have said: "If he wasn't my father, I would spray him with Mace."
Donald spoke about his daughter in March of that year during an appearance on The View when asked if she would ever appear in Playboy.

"I don't think Ivanka would do that, although she does have a very nice figure. I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her," he said at the time.

Ivanka's supposed response ran in the Chicago Tribune at the time in their Quotables column.

However there is some confusion as to whether the quote is actually hers. Rumor-debunking website Snopes, claiming that the quote is actually a joke delivered by talk-show host Conan O'Brien.

After Donald made his comment on The View, host Joy Behar joked: "Who are you, Woody Allen?"
His rep Jim Dowd also said at the time that Donald was "absolutely joking."
It was not the first time that Donald spoke about his daughter's looks and figure, having previously made comments about her in interviews many times in the past.

While being interviewed for a September 2004 episode of The Howard Stern Show, the billionaire businessman, who was 58 at the time, spoke about how "beautiful" his daughter Ivanka was to Stern.

"Can I say this?" asked Stern. "A piece of a**?"
"Yeah," replied Trump.

Roughly two years later in a October 2006 interview, Stern and Trump discussed Ivanka's breasts on the show.

Stern remarked that Ivanka "looks more voluptuous than ever," and asked if she had breast implants.

Trump told Stern that she never had surgery for breast implants.

"She's always been quite voluptuous," said Trump.

"She's tall, she's almost 6 feet tall and she's been, she's an amazing beauty."
In another Howard Stern interview from 2003, Trump bragged about his daughter's figure, saying: "You know who's one of the great beauties of the world, according to everybody? And I helped create her. Ivanka. My daughter, Ivanka. She's 6 feet tall, she's got the best body. She made a lot money as a model - a tremendous amount."
