Danish tourist Johnny Bonde shows off his injuries after his run in with the freshwater crocodile
A Danish backpacker bitten by a freshwater crocodile in WA's far north said the attack was "the result of me being stupid".
Johnny Bonde, 27, said he was trying to get close enough to the 2.5m crocodile to take a photograph when he slipped and fell on top of thecreature at Lake Kununurra.
The Dane said he holds no hard feelings against the croc.
"It was the result of me being stupid," he said. "I pretty much body slammed him.
"If somebody body slammed me at night, I would be angry too."

The tourist said he was walking back from the Kimberley town's Speedway on Friday night when he spotted the "freshie" - which rarely attack people - and couldn't resist trying to get a souvenir photo.
"I just wanted to get a bit closer, it was laying on the bottom of the bank," Bonde told The Sunday Times yesterday from Kununurra District Hospital.
"Then my foot slipped and I fell onto the crocodile. He got my arm and shook me."
